万峰林位于贵州省兴义市东南部，南端与广西交界，西到滇、桂、黔三省(区)交界处的三江口，北接乌蒙山主峰，总面积2000平方千米。
万峰林，长200多千米，宽30-50千米，是中国西南三大喀斯特地貌之一。
万峰林，气势磅礴，景观奇特。峰、龙、坑、缝、林、湖、泉、洞八景分布广泛， 万峰林属于中国西南喀斯特地貌，堪称中国锥状喀斯特博物馆，被称誉为“天下奇观” 。
万峰林包括东、西峰林，景观各异，是国内最大、最典型的喀斯特峰林。
在三百六十多年前，著名地理学家、旅行家徐霞客就来到过万峰林，他还发出这样的赞叹：“天下山峰何其多，唯有此处峰成林”。徐霞客再次来到兴义，在游记中写道："丛立之峰，磅礴数千里，为西南奇胜"。
2008年，经全国旅游景区质量等级评定委员会评定，万峰林被批准为国家AAAA级景区。是国家级风景名胜区 中国最美的五大峰林、全国首批工农业旅游示范区
