香火岩峡谷风景区位于开阳县城南的禾丰乡，面积12平方千米，景区内山势雄伟，峭壁嶙峋、谷深水急、怪石峥嵘，是集山、水、林、崖、洞、桥于一景，纳幽、险、奇、雄、秀于一谷的省级名胜风景区。景区全长8千米，徒步观光是景区特色，整个峡谷中山、石、水、木都是上天造化的奇观。香火岩总面积35平方公里，位于开阳县境内，距贵阳60公里。景区内峰峦垒嶂，怪石峥嵘、飞瀑流泉、蔚为壮观。峡谷由三段明谷和两段暗谷组成，分光明河、营河、香火岩瀑布群、香火岩等7个景区。
